Client is taking an older web system and redesigning it with new Web 2.0
platform using new tools. Since all twelve members of the team have combo back
end and front end skills, mgr prefers both capabilities with *core java and
heavy Javascript/AJAX. Prefer at least 5 yrs experience with some backend
skills listed as a plus. Needs user interface and usability. Someone with good
visual design skills*. Req provides list of various tools like JSON, ExtJS,
JQuery, GWT, etc, but the one that is most important is ExtJS. Goal is to bring
usability and take a large set of data and make it easy to understand and use.
Will put in interactive charts. Looking to have this person lead team as well.
Not looking for graphical design lead, but real browser front end lead. Best
person emanated from back end core java background. OPEN TO FTE AS WELL.&nbs
p; Would need to coordinate with FTE HR person for that one.

strong core visual design skills, user interface framework experience, strong

functionality on theSales Desktop and Client Website applications such as
Market Data, News, Research, Search and Alerts. The team is also responsible
for their web application infrastructure, which includes User Interface
generation, Content Management, Search Infrastructure, High Availability /
Scalability / Resource Pooling, Authentication / Security, and development and
build related tools.
*Must Have Skills:*
- Strong creative problem solving skills
- Strong Visual Design / User Interface skills (5+ years)
- Strong JavaScript/Web 2.0/AJAX experience (e.g. JSON, ExtJS, JQuery,
YUI, GWT, etc.) ( 3-5+ years)
- Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Development ( 3+ years)
- J2EE Experience (2-3+)
*Nice to Have Technical Skills:*
- Unix Operating System experience
- Sybase or IBM UDB experience
- Source Control Systems (CVS, Subversion)
- Continuous Integration / Build Tools (such as Ant, Maven, Hudson,
CruiseControl, Archiva, etc.)
- Perl
*Additional Skills: *
- Investment Management business knowledge
- Good verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
