Please respond to [email protected] Job Title: Sr.Oracle 11gR2 DBA with RAC Location: Denver, CO Duration: 2+ Months This task order is to 1) Finish the upgrade of the development environment and upgrade the databases to 11g, and 2) Complete the entire upgrade in the production environment. Experience Needed: Databases are currently operating under Oracle Grid Infrastructure version 11.1.0.7 and needs to upgrade to 11.2.0.1. The driving force behind the upgrade is the need to utilize the database gateway and to create an enterprise data hub that can take advantage of the new 11gR2 features. The production environment includes 3 servers with RAC option with 12 databases, 9 of which need to be upgraded. The development environment includes 2 servers with RAC option with 14 databases, 11 or 12 which need to be upgraded. The Clusterware software has already been upgraded. Description of Deliverables a) Validate Development environment upgrade. Verify the upgrade that has been completed in the development environment. Cross-train internal DBA on best practices, new features, and GRID services. Make corrections to install if needed. b) Upgrade Development databases. Upgrade the 9 development databases to 11.2.0.1 (not KROD). This can be done remotely. Work with internal team to communicate with Application Owners prior to, during and at completion of the upgrade. c) Upgrade Production Grid Infrastructure. Upgrade the production Grid Infrastructure to version 11.2.0.1. This should be done with no production outage. d) Upgrade PROD databases. Upgrade the 11 production databases to 11.2.0.1. This can be done remotely. Work with internal team to communicate with Application Owners prior to, during and at completion of the upgrade. e) Convert database to RAC. Convert IASD database in development to RAC. Currently running on a single node. If an outage is required, it must be coordinated because all development utilizes IDM. f) Set up SCAN address in development and production. Identify application changes to use the SCAN address so they do not have to be aware of vip. Cross-train internal DBA on configuration and application awareness. g) Complete server work for Application Views in GRID. Assist as needed with deploying Grid Control agents to remaining servers in both development and production environments. This can be done remotely. We will provide server list and naming convention.
