Hi, Position : Sr. ETL Developer Duration : 6-12 months Location : Philadelphia , PA
Candidates will possess a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related technical discipline. Seven plus years of relevant experience in lieu of a completed degree will also be considered. Candidates must possess a clear understanding and appreciation of all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to functional specifications through coding, testing, and the customer support required for a commercial product. Candidates should possess 5-7 years of application development experience in the Health Care/Life Sciences industry with demonstrated ability to mentor less seasoned staff members. A minimum of 5 years experience with design, implementation and administration of large database systems in MS SQL Server 2005/2008 is required. Candidates will have experience developing data movement, data cleansing and data integrity processes for the purposes of loading decision support applications utilizing advanced knowledge of SSIS packages and Transact SQL, design and support/enhancements/maintenance. Specific experience and skills include: Proficiency with MS SQL Server 2008 and Transact SQL required Must have experience with SSIS or other ETL tools Full life-cycle development Proven experience coding complex ETL processes Experience in performance tuning a plus Focused, independent, self starter who also works well in a team Some DBA experience a plus Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services a plus but not required Solid understanding of .NET 2.0-3.5 framework C# or VB development experience a plus Solid ETL and Data Modeling skills along with experience in developing ad hoc query infrastructures Must be a results oriented, self-starter with a can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and as a team member along with having strong organizational skills, and flexibility to manage changing business priorities, and proactively seek opportunities to contribute to the success of the business. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing a data warehouse solution using Microsoft SQL Server and building underlying data. Responsible for designing data warehouse and taking projects through the entire full life cycle of development and running quality checks on the data. Responsible for assessing business intention documents, developing functional to technical requirements, programming and development of applications in accordance with our Structured Development Methodology (SDM). Implement, design, configure, and program intermediate to highly complex solutions and recommend technical solutions to assist in achieving project objectives. Programming, configuration and business process changes should be performed within the standards and quality of the department.
