Job Title: System Administrator Location:Helena,MT Length of engagement: 6-9 months This is my direct client requirement(State Govt) Job Description Responsibilities 1. Implement and maintain the environment for hosting the NBS. This environment consists of web, database and application servers and a variety of software products. a. Install, configure, update and maintain software necessary for operation of web, application and database servers including: MS SQL Server software, MS IIS Web Server software, JBOSS and Apache / Tomcat . b.Ensure that the NBS environment is secure and adheres to applicable security policies. c.Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software and network problems that may or may not be in our environment and work with appropriate staff, contractors and vendors to resolve issues. d.Perform day to day database administration tasks such as space allocation and performance tuning. e.Apply software enhancements and updates to the NBS as they are made available. Design, implement and maintain automated processes for transferring incoming and outgoing data and messages Troubleshoot and correct issues with data / message exchange processes,Maintain a working knowledge of methods, standards and techniques related to Public Health and Health Information exchange. Knowledge & Experience Extensive knowledge and understanding of the concepts, theories, and developmental aspects of computer science, operating systems, equipment configurations and interrelationships and software applications for PC and mid-tier computer systems and the ability to independently apply the knowledge to develop new practices and procedures and to meet agency demands especially in the area of n-tier business applications.
