Thank you for reaching out and suggesting a meeting. At HCC we use Datatel Colleague products as our ERP system and it uses UniData as the database on the back end. The ERP software integrates with specific software to deliver a variety of extended services:
· Portal – Campus Cruiser · Reporting system – Entrinsik Informer · Web Interface – Datatel WebAdvisor · Ad hoc web services – Web Wizard If your organization has the internal expertise to develop within this environment a meeting may be warranted, however, it your organization lacks expertise with Datatel Colleague and Unidata, a meeting would be a waste of time on both our parts. Unfortunately, Datatel lacks ‘hooks’ to allow it to communicate via ODBC or XML protocols and uses proprietary interfaces. It is very difficult for us to find the necessary expertise within consulting shops such as yours. From years of experience, and many hours of fruitless meetings I have finally recognized that I must screen external consulting groups for the skill sets necessary to support our current infrastructure. If you have the necessary expertise in-house please respond with the supporting information.
