Work Location: Birmingham ,Alabama Contract Duration: Long term( 12 months +) POSITION PURPOSE: This leadership role will own the vision creation for ETL Enterprise Model and additionally will play an active role in OBIEE solution design with appropriate reviews during development phases. This candidate will play a key role in delivering high levels of data quality through the simplification and standardization of business rule deployment in the transformation processes. This candidate will work with business users to educate on the value of conformity and provide operational application alternatives to excel based cross reference tables. Working with the BI implementation team this candidate will develop integrated strategies that will complement and capitalize on the capabilities of the tools employed. The development of design and development processes and standards will ensure application performance, minimized support costs and high level of data quality. The candidate will build partnerships with system of record owners, which will result in collaborative ETL processes. Providing thought leadership to business and IT associates will be an important component of this assignment. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Develop Enterprise ETL model. 2. Work with functional and IT teams to simplify current ETL environment 3. Defines the configuration of the data migration in various project environments (e.g. development, system test, UAT, and production) 4. Leads the evaluation and selection process of the data migration and data cleansing process 5. Perform reviews during project development phases to identify potential challenges, missing information, design compliance and provides project guidance 6. Ensure ETL components are designed and deployed to meet the required business needs at the lowest costs and implementation timelines 7. Lower the cost of implementation and support through ETL controls and standard deployment 8. Define and enforces the documentation and development, including naming,standards for the front-end analysis tools 9. Selects components and defines the common design patterns that will be used to manage various ETL activities, such as changed data capture, process auditing, error handling, etc. 10. Designs or selects the templates that will be used to capture design specifications 11. Designs or selects the templates that will be used to unit test the components developed with the data management and cleansing tools 12. Works with the Project Manager to create the logical data models required to support the solution 13. Estimates the amount of time required to execute the data migration activities 14. Performs technical QA on all data migration and cleansing development 15. Enhances DW Team reputation through professional communication and enhanced solution delivery EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: 1. 5 years of ETL experience with specific emphasis on Informatica based data integration techniques 2. 8 years of BI experience 3. 3 years of project management experience 4. Minimum of 5 different BI environments as an employee or consultant in an architecture role 5. Proven experience in a multi source environment 6. Experienced working with a global company supported by offshore development/support teams 7.
