Job Description:
* 1.1.2. WPS Administrator/Developer: The WebSphere Administrator
maintains and supports the WPS infrastructure on the distributed (Solaris)
platform.
* The administrator must have extensive experience in WPS to support
patches, upgrades and production support.
* This person must also be able to support current WPS flows already
in production.
* Assist with configuring development, test and production
environments
* Assist OS Administrators in tuning WPS
* Ensure WPS environments are functional and operational.
* Enhance support materials, such as production support guide, help
desk scripts, disaster recovery documentation
* Apply upgrades and fixes to WPS as required
* Create Business Monitoring events based on project requirements.
* Provide Second level support:
* Perform problem determination and resolution
* Troubleshoot issues with WPS
* Review logs, assess problems as required
* Take part in design and architectural discussions regarding WPS
environment
* Provide after business hours, weekend and holiday on-call support.
Estimated to be 2 to 4 hours weekly on average.
Essential Skills:
* Excellent administration knowledge of WMQ, WMB, WSRR and WPS
* Working knowledge WebSphere Application Server, BEA Weblogic, DB2,
Oracle, IMS, and DBMs.
* Working knowledge of XML, XSLT, Schema and WSDL
* Working knowledge of Informatica, Redwood Scheduler, FTP and SFTP
