*RESPONSIBILITIES** * Write and maintain production hardened software in JAVA/J2EE. This software will be used in conjunction with Web Services and Oracle RDBMS. Must be able to work under the direction of a PM utilizing a matrix management arrangement, and under the guise of an Agile Software Development Methodology. All software architecture decisions are to be made in the direction of SOA. Strong understanding of the Agile/XP software development methodology Position follows disciplined software development practices. Up-to-date on current and best practices and technologies related to software development and release management. Relies on extensive technical experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. *Experience: *** Requires 7-10 years of experience in software development. Minimum of 7 years professional software development experience 3-4 years experience in a Java consultant or staff augmentation role 1-3 years telecommunications industry experience 3-4 years experience with Java/J2EE 3-4 years experience with UNIX 2-3 years experience with BEA WebLogic development, including both WLI and WLP 2-3 years experience with Oracle and SQL Server RDBMS 2-3 years experience with Java Swing or JSP *Preferred Experience:** * Spring, Eclipse, JUnit/Cactus, Ant, Hibernate, Web services, Subversion and use of continuous software integration software (e.g., Bamboo), JAVA Scripting. *SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS *** Knowledge of SOA Agile Software Development Methodologies Broad-based knowledge of Java coding and best practices *Education:** * Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or Mathematics.
