*Project Manager Needed in Foster City , CA**

*This position is in the Open Systems Commercial and B2B Project Management
Office.** The successful candidate will have overall project management
responsibility for multiple projects for Visa Accounts Payable program. S/He
will need to define project scope, develop project plans and project
budgets, direct activities including reviews, risk management, change
control processes, and communications by following Visa PMM.

Education/Experience
• Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer
engineering or related field required. Advanced degree in business
administration preferred.
• 8-10 years IT application development and project management experience
required

Responsibility level
• Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
• Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in
strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods (Typically
required)

Skills
• Proven track record in delivering large scale, complex ETL, data
mart/warehouse, and multi-tier web enabled solutions.
• Working knowledge of full software/system development life cycle from
requirements gathering to post-implementation production support, including
quality assurance and system integration.
• Strong process orientation with a solid understanding of project
management techniques, methodologies and best practices.
• Fluent in project management techniques, tools and processes and solid
understanding of project financial controls.
• Good communication and business writing skills. Must be able to
effectively present status to all levels.
• Solid analytical skills; able to think strategically and can turn ideas
into actions
• Must demonstrate the ability to work independently with a commitment to
detail, quality and continuous improvements.
• Must demonstrate self-motivated attitude to learn Visa's business and
environment quickly.
• PMP certification is required.
• Working knowledge of Commercial Card business (required)
• Previous Visa IT Project Management experience (preferred)


Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Concurrently manage multiple large scale, highly complex projects in a
very fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Work with business and technology subject matter experts to define scope,
develop plan, create cost estimate, and produce Statement of Work and other
documentation needed for funding approvals.
• Provide leadership, direct project activities, conduct reviews, manage
risk mitigation and change control processes, and communicate status to
senior management within the IT and business organizations.
• Ensure all project activities and deliverables are fully in compliance
with Visa Project Management Methodologies and Key Control policies.
• Ensure accurate and timely information are collected and reported
regularly on project progress and financial status.
• Provide project teams with expertise, direction, motivation, and
encouragement.
• Lead by example to embrace teamwork while promoting a culture of openness
and flexibility**
• Demonstrate leadership qualities, flexibility and adaptability to change
in roles and responsibilities as required.*
