The primary role of the candidate will be: Senior ABAP Developer



Responsibilities:



• Meet with functional owners and project team to assist and understand gaps
identified in the blue printing phase.

• Meet with functional owners to discuss and understand the required
functional/business requirements from the given functional specification
document and related communications.

• Review and coordinate tasks related to technical specification documents
(TDS) using client  standard template. This document contains details of the
discussed design. It includes: all involved team members (such as business,
functional, technical, testing and business owners), their contact details,
tentative production timelines, business cases, logic, unit test plan,
security concerns and among other important development topics.

• Reviewing each Technical specification documents along with the functional
owners and modifying the document if any applicable.

• Coordinate development objects as per the requirements using client
development naming standards and procedures.

• Prepare the test scripts/scenarios for each interface using client
standard templates

• Coordinate code reviews for code/performance optimization to ensure that
client  coding standards has been applied utilizing client code review
guidelines.

• Engage the infrastructure team in the code review and development design
per the client  guide lines established in the TDS.

• Coordinate the execution of unit test scenarios to ensure that test
results meet the requirements and document the unit test results using
client  standard template.

• Send test results to functional owners and request the functional
acceptance test results (FAT) via client email and save the feedback in the
document repository.

• Move the Development transport requests to Quality environment using
client  standard Charm process.

• Validate the development transports in Quality environment and inform the
functional owners for further functional testing.

• Re-work changes if any required and repeat unit testing.

• Move the development transports to Production environment using the client
standard charm process. This includes creating charm which assigns a
transport request details for the developer to use for further development.

• Support resolving defects during Pre & Post Go Live Stabilization.
Typically these defects are documented and resolved utilizing the Quality
Center software.

• Perform and support fit gap analysis to identify gaps that may potentially
require development objects to settle these gaps.

• Track the Object statuses using CLIENT Remedy and CHARM tools.

• Monitor development transport requests using CLIENT Charm process.

• Attend meeting as needed.

• Provide timely status reports as needed.

• Perform knowledge transfer before rolling off and as required to other
employees and consultants.

• Post work hours to CLIENT timecard system (Clarity) weekly and as
required.

• Alert management of any potential development issues, weaknesses or gaps.

• Review and ensure quality and efficient coding.

• Support and perform cutover activities and tasks (tasks related to
implementation of development objects or project deliverables in multiple
systems). This support may require off hours work or shift work. Some of the
cutover activities include:

o Validate the transports between source and target clients

o Check the sequence of transports in Cookbook

o Update ZOVITAL transaction (this stores information regarding the
development objects)

o Update any global parameters (example ZPARAMS table update).

• Support resolving defects during System Integration Testing (SIT). Some of
the support activities are:

o Coordinate support fixes for defects created by the testing team.

o Coordinate development tasks among team members

o Utilize CLIENT Charm process to move transports for the fix from one
system to the other

• Support the Regression testing activities which may include setting up and
executing batch interfaces, real time interfaces, application to application
interfaces and other activities.

Specific Deliverables:



• Coordinate and review the functional and technical Design Specification
(FDS/TDS) using CLIENT standard TDS template

• Coordinate the delivery of development objects per CLIENT development
standards

• Coordinate the delivery of code review document using CLIENT standard
template

• Coordinate the delivery of unit test cases using CLIENT standards template


• Coordinate the delivery of knowledge transfer materials using CLIENT
standard template

• Coordinate the delivery of technical and functional user guides using
CLIENT standard template

• Request Task ID (originally called Thread manager ID) for new object if it
is not already assigned with the help of assigned managers.

• Request task in Clarity for booking time with the help of assigned
managers.

• Book working hours to appropriate assignments in Clarity (CLIENT Time
Sheet system)

• Perform on call support on rotation basis.

• Update status on regular basis to managers.

Requirements:



Bachelor's required.

5 Years+ in SAP, ABAP
