Details of functions of the role
1. Provide efficient and reliable storage allocation and defines backup,
recovery, archival procedures. 2. Develop and implement business continuity
practices for storage management. Installs, configures, tests, and
implements storage management software and hardware. 3. Monitor use and
availability of storage resources. 4. Maintain and modify backup and
recovery procedures to meet critical business needs. 5. Troubleshoot storage
related issues and take appropriate actions. 6. Generate reports on storage
usage. 7. Manage storage configuration in order to maintain efficient
administration. 8. Provide capacity planning and performance monitoring of
system storage utilization.

1. 10+ years of expertsie with in DFHSM, DFSMS and HSM across multiple LPARs
from installations and customization.2. 4+ years of experience with SMS
tools3. At least 5 years in z/OS software/hardware administration or storage
support.4. Mandatory to have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal
communication skills.5. 5+ years of IT work experience, experience in
multiple systems environment, networking, storage, and system
administration,.6. May require occassional call support for off shift,
weekends and holidays.
