- Around *8 years* of professional experience in the entire SDLC i.e.,
analysis, design, development, implementation and testing of Data Warehouse
/ Data Mart / client-server applications for industries such as healthcare,
insurance, manufacturing, and finance.
- Extensive ETL experience using *IBM Websphere DataStage 8.0/7.x/6.x
Enterprise Edition/Parallel Extender (PX) and Server Edition*, familiar
with *Informatica PowerCenter **8.5.1/7.x**. ***
- Extensively worked on Oracle, Sql-Server, DB2 Databases as Source and
Target Systems.
- Expertise in Dimensional modeling techniques - Star schema modeling,
Snow-Flake modeling, and hands on experience in data modeling tools Erwin /
Visio.
- Strong working experience on Data Warehousing applications, directly
responsible for the Extraction, Transformation and Loading of data from
multiple sources into Data Warehouse.
- Extensive Knowledge in using DataStage Director, run, debug and
validate DataStage jobs.
Responsible for all activities related to the development,
implementation, administration and production support of ETL
processes for large-scale data warehouses. Experience
with troubleshooting of ETL jobs and resolving production support
issues/tickets
- Designed and developed jobs using Parallel Extender for splitting bulk
data in to subsets and to dynamically distribute to all available nodes to
achieve best job performance.
- Proficiency in data warehousing techniques for data cleansing, slowly
changing dimension phenomenon, surrogate key assignment and change data
capture.
- Adept in SQL, PL/SQL, Procedures/Functions, Triggers.
- Designed and Developed several Robust ETL processes, with checks at
various stages of ETL to capture any abnormalities and send email alerts,
thus ensuring the quality of data in the target tables.
- Extensive experience in using Built-in, Plug-in and Custom Stages for
Extraction, transformation and loading of the data.
- Possesses Technical, Project management skills and capable of involving
in the project from conceptual phase to development.
· Familiar in using highly scalable parallel processing
infrastructure using DataStage Enterprise Edition.
· Well versed in using various *DML* and *DDL* statements including
manipulation of *stored procedures*, *functions*, *triggers*, and views on
different databases including Oracle, *MS-SQL Server* and *MS-Access*.
- Efficient knowledge to support the various SDLC life cycles including
technical design, coding, testing, technical documentation preparation and
having 24 X 7 Production Support experience.
