*Job Description:*
Our client is interested in a project manager experienced in the IT field to
work within the Business Information Services department on PeopleSoft
related projects. This engagement is estimated to be nine to twelve months
in length.
*Primary Responsibilities:*
Responsible to provide leadership and project management functions for
multiple PeopleSoft related projects, including software or processes based
on client needs, viable technology and operational efficiency. This work
will include, but not be limited to the gathering of client requirements,
authoring of various project-related documents, managing of BIS
communications and client relationships, and driving effort throughout the
project lifecycle. These activities will be performed following BIS
processes working with minimal direction. Serve as a liaison between the
business and technical teams.
*Job Duties:*

· Perform project feasibility studies.
· Ensure all processes and procedures are documented in accordance
with the standards of documentation.
· Create and maintain project plans by partnering with clients and
technical team to define project direction.
· Project planning including leading efforts to define project
direction, to scope and estimate project cost and effort.
· Develop and update time estimates for project schedules by
partnering with business and technical resources to define and assign tasks.
· Communicate project direction and scope. Collaborate with teams to
work through constraints and alternatives.
· Coordinate key project activities, drive project effort, and
facilitate project related meetings.
· Interface with vendors in selection and negotiation of software
and hardware products.
· Negotiate and manage project scope, budget, progress, and client
expectations.
· Ensure client needs are being met throughout the project
lifecycle.
· Control progress to goals and objectives through regular status
reporting to BIS and client stakeholders.
· Track time and complete required status reports.
· Build effective relationships with BIS partners and business
clients.
*Experience:*
· Eight years progressively responsible technology experience.
*Education:*
· Four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
*Other Qualifications:*
· Proven experience in project management of PeopleSoft
implementations (ideally for Time and Labor and Direct Connect modules)
· Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
· Proven leadership experience
· Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills
to understand and anticipate the impact and opportunities across multiple
projects
· Strong organizational skills
· Well defined knowledge of Project Management methodologies
· Strong customer service orientation
· Ability to manage complex IT solution provider contracts and
relationships
· Understand financial impacts to budgets
· Ability to effectively multitask
· Ability to scope complex projects and effectively estimate effort
and costs
