Ø Ideally a Java Tech Lead who can work with business to hash out requirements too. Ø Ideal candidate should have at least been a mid-level Java developer with good exposure to JSP, Struts and some back end database understanding Ø Should morph into the project SME once the BA is ready to roll off the POD *Here are the roles and responsibilities for this position:* Ø A person who understands both the *offshore and onsite* cultures, and helps in building trust - critical step in creation and development of multicultural teams. He / she will bring the following advantages to the project: Ø Will be the right hand person to the PM for the POD Ø Acts as liaison between Project Management and Development teams. Ø Attends onsite client meetings such as deliverable review meetings, planning and scheduling meetings. Ø Understand requirements, technology and schedule. Ø Will be the single point of contact for any clarifications needed by the offshore team. Keeps track of change/ issues. Ø The availability of this resource beyond the regular work hours will help in reducing the turnaround time for the offshore team hence improving the Ø Being physically with the client, this person understands the requirements and client concerns better. He also has good ties with the offshore team and can better communicate and coordinate with them.
