*Job Title:* Senior .NET Architect *Location* - *NYC - Must be local to NY - Direct F2F interview* *Duration* - Long term *Description*: This is a hands-on role. Looking for a true Senior .NET technologist with a focus on the middle tier/web services side. Candidate should be able to demonstrate day to day hands-on expertise with Microsoft’s newest WS technologies under Framework 3.5 (see details below). In general, candidate should be a MS middle tier guru – capable of delivering a middle tier written using the newest technologies that interfaces with heterogeneous platforms and widely disparate data sources, e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, XML and web services written in .NET and WebMethods. The candidate will provide input into design and development for a large-scale Web 2.0 application for a leading provider of health management services and solutions. The candidate will work closely with business analysts in determining application requirements, will participate in the design, and will share responsibility for developing the middle tier of the application with 1-2 other team members.
*Required Skills and Qualifications: *Candidate must be hands-on in all areas mentioned. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. • 8+ years developing public-facing, high visibility, production web applications that are maintainable, scalable, and reliable, with 6+ of it in C#.NET and ASP.NET on middle tier technologies including SOA, web services (.NET and WebMethods). • 6+ years writing .NET middle tier SOA/WS (ASMX or WCF) components that integrate with heterogeneous data sources and/or other web services written in either .NET and/or WebMethods. • 6+ years hands-on experience with SQL Server or Oracle (ideally both). • Comfortable with all flavors of LINQ (to objects, SQL, Dataset, XML, Entities), Lambda Expressions, Expression Trees, delegates, and anonymous methods. • Comfortable coding from business requirements and/or UML. • Experience using TFS (or other current source control system). • Experience with integrating 3rd-party / commercial / open-source components. • Experience working in waterfall and iterative SDLC models (e.g., Agile) ranging and flexibility to adapt to either type of model. • Excellent analytic, organization, and most importantly verbal/written communication skills.
