Consultants to install and develop an Essayer upgrade from System 7 to System 11
1.1.Installation – Consultants shall assist in the

installation of the new Hyperion Essbase environment. Client will be using a 
virtual environment for Essbase the installation (inc. database, report and web 
layers) of which will be set up by the end of the first week of the engagement 
(March13th).
1.2.Migration – Client is currently using Essbase v7.1.5 and the modules 
Analyzer, Reports and Essbase. Consultants will set up the new Essbase 
environment with the same Modules/Products currently in use.

In addition to those products Supplier is expected to setup the following new 
functionality:
·Life cycle Management
·Typed Measures
·Varying Attributes
·Backup and Recovery
·Data Management
·The use of Environment Variables
·Monitoring Environment Reposes
·Log Locations
·Implied Shares
·Calculations Additions
1.3.current environment receives data from the following systems: Hyperion 
Enterprise, Oracle Report Prod, People Soft, Department Master, BCD (travel 
agent) Supplier will set up the integrations to these for the new environment.
1.4.Data Migration – Data currently in Essbase will be migrated into the new 
environment. 1.5.Reports – All reports related to Hyperion Reports need to be 
migrated to the new version. This includes forecast and actual reports for both 
EMEA and AP.

 1.6.Applications – The following applications will be migrated to the new 
environment: Business Unit (BU), Revenue, P&L, Travel, Employee and Quick 
Reports cubes. Supplier shall assist to validate and test applications upon 
migration.
1.7.Environment – The current Essbase system includes a Test, Stage, and 
Production environments. Consultants will assist Client in recommending future 
architecture and describe the impact of new functionality in the area of life 
cycle management to the number of environments the Client should set up.

1.8.Testing – Consultants will perform Load tests on the system, and assist 
Client with unit tests.
1.9.Training and Knowledge Transfer – The Consultants are required to work with 
a core group of resources (4-5 max) and include documentation on the new 
environment including but not limited to:
·System admin type features
·features from an end user perspective (e.g. using the Excel Add in or Smart 
view)As part of the project Consultant is expected to work on site to 
facilitate knowledge transfer. The style of the training will be working with 
Client staff acting in a “shadow” role as well as formal sessions conducted to 
train core users (as opposed to end users of the tool) on the system and 
separate sessions conducted for technical system support. Client will be 
handling all end-user training.

1.10.Users – There are currently 50 concurrent users. Consultants will ensure 
that users are transferred to the new system. System sizing and scale should 
also include possible future growth up to sers.Consultants shall review and 
analyze the sizing of the new environment.Consultant shall inform Client of any 
shortcomings with the sizing including risks and recommendations load 
capabilities of wider usage of the web analyzer.
1.11.Analysis – Consultants will work with the Client project team to fit 
within the project plan and outline deliverable and a time line.

1.12.Documentation – Lead / support the development of key documentation as 
required by the Project Manager e.g. Design document
1.13.Post Production Support – Consultant shall provide bug fixes and
post production support for Essbase for a period of 10 days.It is not 
anticipated that the support will be full time / on site and will tail off 
sharply after the first few days / week.
