*Position: QA Analyst with WEBSERVICE TESTING experience*

*Location: SAN DIEGO, CA*

*Duration: 6 months*

*Description*:
The QA Analyst will support the creation and execution of end-to-end test
cases for an enterprise project. Working with business process owners and
internal business clients, this position will need to understand the
business process and requirements to effectively execute and manage the
testing process.

*Responsibilities*:
• Participate in all requirements and design review sessions.
• Create and maintain test plans/scripts/procedures from use cases, system
interface designs, business process flows, and other requirements
documentation.
• Lead test case reviews with IT and business unit owners. Must be able to
clearly explain test case intent, make updates based on feedback, and
follow-through on all action items.
• Work with multiple IT teams to ensure all preconditions to the start of
test execution are met, including setting up the test environment, test
data, test configurations/settings, etc.
• Perform and assist in the test execution of the end-to-end
business-processes: ensure that all business related functions and processes
are supported: ensure that the flow of data and screens are logical for each
business process; test the application with "real-world" scenarios and
production-like test data; test all batch and real-time processes; test the
application's interfaces with other mission-critical systems.
• Perform screen-based testing: verify that individual application screens
are performing correctly, ensure that the flow of information and data entry
is logical and correct based on the application's business requirements;
verify that new functionality added to an existing screen has not adversely
affected the existing functionality on that screen.
• Use HP Quality Center to store test cases and defects.
• Review test case results thoroughly before completion/acceptance.
• Lead defect management process by coordinating/assisting business owners
in defect creation (content, severity, and priority) and fix validation
using an understanding of the business requirements and the needs of the
project, as well as ensuring defect turnaround time is met in a timely
manner.
• Communicate all risks, issues, and dependencies to the Test Lead.
• Provide daily test case execution and defect reports to the Test Lead.
• Provide status in daily test and defect meetings.

*Qualifications*:
• Requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, business or
equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience with testing at different levels (unit, string,
integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance) on complex enterprise-wide
technical projects.
*• **Strong experience in automation testing web services.*
