*Position:SENIOR DATABASE INFORMATION SPECIALIST Location: Sacramento* ** *Duration: 8-10 months* ** ** *Minimum Qualifications* *1.* Possess IBM Certified Specialist – DB2 User certification. *2.* Three years experience in a database support position with at least 35% of time each year dedicated to analyzing, developing, and designing database solutions using DB2 and DB2 compatible SQL in a centralized mainframe environment. All three years of experience must include analysis, development, and design of database solutions for a database similar in size to the ISIS z/OS reporting database. *3.* Three years experience in a database support position with at least 15% of time each year dedicated to performing programming, analysis, administration, performance monitoring, and improvement of database functions in Z/OS, CICS, and TSO environment including implementation of data archiving and migration procedures. *4.* One year experience in a database support position with at least 25% of time dedicated to using Business Objects software including administration of the Business Objects software, creation of reports, and creation/modification of Universes. *5.* Two years experience performing in a position with at least 10% of time each year dedicated to developing and presenting formal verbal and written communications to end users, external stakeholders, technical staff, and external business partners. *6.* Two years experience performing in a lead position with at least 5% of time each year dedicated to mentoring/training staff on utilization of structured databases for reporting and analysis of data content. *7.* Two years experience in a database support position analyzing, developing, and designing database solutions using an established change management process that included change request analysis, documenting requirements, developing solutions, testing (unit, system, and integration testing), and implementation. Desirable Qualifications *1.* One year experience working with or as a part of a project or program associated with the federal WIC program having gained knowledge specific to state and federal WIC policies and procedures such as: client categories, program qualifications, food prescriptions, and vendor authorization. * 2.* One year experience performing database support with at least 10% of time dedicated to performing functions to maintain and tune DB2 databases using DB2 utilities such as Fast Unload, Thread Sentry, Visual Explain, and Omegamon. * 3.* One year experience performing database support with at least 10% of time dedicated to performing functions to enhance the overall functionality of DB2 databases using DB2 utilities such as Propagator and DB2 Connect. * 4.* Possess IBM Certified Solutions Expert DB2 UDB certification. *5.* One year experience in a database support position with at least 10% of time dedicated to supporting DB2 UDB on AIX database. This includes configuring, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, account administration, log reviews, and archiving.
