Minimum of one (1) year experience with Clinical or Environmental Laboratory Information Systems implementation, deployment, and/or support. *Desirable Experience:* 1. *Experience with communication, documentation and knowledge transfer. This must be demonstrated by experience in two or more activities listed in a-e AND in two or more activities listed in f-j. * a) Preparation of user manuals b) Conducting technical training sessions c) Thorough documentation of programs or systems d) Provision of timely and clear status reports e) Conceptual, system, and program design specifications f) Participation in team design meetings g) Leading system design session h) Leading meetings dealing with the development or modifications of a system i) Working with users to gather system requirements j) Describing a system orally to technical and/or non-technical staff 1. *Experience with the domain, vocabulary and requirements of target environment. This must be demonstrated by experience in one or more activities listed below. * a) Experience with Clinical Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). b) Experience with Public Health Laboratory specimen tracking and workflow needs for Clinical, Environmental, Animal, and Food samples. c) Experience with Infectious Disease testing processes and test configurations. d) Expertise in standard vocabularies and health related data exchange standards, such as LOINC, SNOMED, HL-7. e) Experience developing requirements for the integration of distributed public health information systems. f) Knowledge of Public Health processes such as outbreak management and communicable disease case management. 1. *Experience with the technical aspects of supporting users in the target environment. This must be demonstrated by experience in one or more activities below.** * *a) *Ability to use reporting and data analysis tools (such as MS Access, MS Excel, Info maker, Crystal Reports, or SAS) to produce new reports and satisfy user requests for information.** b) Ability to identify, analyze and resolve complex problems reported by users. c) Ability to use Oracle SQL to analyze data for data quality assurance, data cleaning, and bulk data updates. d) Experience participating in development and execution of appropriate test cases to validate the implementation and deployment of system changes and enhancements. 1.
