Location : Detroit, MI Duration : 12 months Rate : DOE Skills Required: Independent motivated individual looking to work on Java/Oracle performance tuning effort Expert Java/JDBC tuning specialist Ability to inspect, monitor and tune java app on JVM 1.6 on unix platforms Experience with complex java standalone apps, JDBC, SQL and shell scripting Experience scripting synthetic data and simple load harness for data manipulation Technologies: JVM 1.6 tuning experience, JConsole, JMX monitoring tools, J2EE experience preferred as well. Java Enterprise System: General J2EE experience - Java development preferred. Application Servers: AppServer administration and tuning preferable, IBM WAS preferred. Not required. Database: Experience with Oracle 10g, & 11g from Java perspective. Fluent in SQL and JDBC interface. Oracle admin and PL/SQL experience a plus. Monitoring Tools/Testing Tools: Preferred not required - Experience with BMC Patrol, Compuware Vantage Suite, IBM Rational Performance Tester, open source java monitoring tools.
