Work from 4am Eastern time until 12noon Eastern time. * They will be covering the Europe, Middle East, Africa region. Will be specifically responsible for: · Leading and resolving complex data network issues (LAN, WAN, Firewall, DNS/DHCP) anywhere around the globe for the Customer account (including network connectivity with 3rd parties) - implying the engineer would be on-call for truly complex issues 24x7 · Participating in troubleshooting meetings onsite in Woodbridge on complex cross tower issues which may or may not have data network root causes · Being an onsite technical escalation point for the existing remote AT&T LAN, WAN, Firewall, and DNS/DHCP teams Participating onsite in meetings with customer on architecture strategy for data networking technologies · Being deeply involved in the handover of data network projects from Customer to AT&T as the prime owner of knowledge transferred The ideal data network engineer candidate will be skilled in these data networking technologies (listed in order of importance): 1. General Ethernet LAN, MPLS+Frame Relay WAN, Firewall, DNS/DHCP, acceleration and load balancing technologies 2. Nortel LAN Switches (particularly 86xx and 55xx series) 3. Arubawireless access points and controllers 4. Juniper Firewalls (particularly NetScreens) 5. Lucent/Alcatel QIP 6. Radware Load Balancers 7.
