The reporting team consists of half a dozen senior data warehousing specialistsincluding ETL developers, analyst/reporting developers and operations. The teamreports on all external customer-facing websites by owning and running a largein-house data mart (hundreds of millions of rows per table) that tracks variousclickstream, order and subscriber metrics for the Client's Online channel, inaddition to other tools.
This role will design solutions to solve complex integrated reportingrequirements. This will be accomplished by reviewing specification requirementswith project teams, provide ETL development for
implementing new requirements, provide necessary documentation and transferknowledge to operations developer. You may also be asked to work on special adhoc queries, assist the operations developer in troubleshooting an issue or, onoccasion, be backup production operations. The position requires experiencewith OLTP, dimensional data modeling and aggregations.
This is a highly technical role requiring critical thinking, logic, organization,self-motivation and attention to detail from analysis through implementationand post-production QA. During the project work cycle the developer willinterface with the source systems' technical teams, business teams, reportinganalyst and others. Therefore the
ability to communicate with a variety of users, from directors to end-users,and perform well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environmentis critical to success in this position.
Education
B.S. in a related field (Computer Sciences or Computer Engineering
preferred) or equivalent experience required.
Experience
