*Location*: Stamford, CT *Job Description:* *CANDIDATE SUBMITTED MUST HAVE* *AT LEAST 8 - 9 YEARS OF overall experience* · Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance changes during off hours · Investigating, troubleshooting, isolating and documenting problems · Technology research (Shared infrastructure, Load Balancer’s, Firewall, other) · Document, review and enhance network topology and performance · Mentor and develop key personnel · Ensure standards and process compliance with network engineering standards and processes across multiple data centers and remote sites · Design, configuration, and deployment of new network environment services and enhancements to include routing, switching, firewall, and load balancing solutions. · Monitoring and maintaining the hardware and software for the network · Infrastructure device upgrades or replacements · Planning and documenting new product deployments and the associated network infrastructure changes · Network Design, general network security, TCP/IP, a strong grasp of Internet networking practices and concepts, BGP/OSPF, VPNs and Cisco IOS and CatOS · Researching the development of new technologies that may impact the network · Experience and Knowledge of capacity planning · Understanding of network risk assessment process and contingency planning · Ability to research, analyze and implement software patches or hardware changes · Strong working knowledge of packet sniffing technology and the ability to apply the knowledge quickly when troubleshooting a problem · Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other Areas of the Infrastructure and Applications Teams · Strong communication (both verbal and written) and customer service skills (Ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely.) · Ability to respond to frequent pressure to meet deadlines when work speed and sustained accuracy are paramount. · Ability to provide off-hours operational support when necessary · Defining, documenting, enforcing system standards · Perform the top level of support for remote network and server administrative staff ** *Experience Required:* · Bachelor's degree in related field · Enterprise/Carrier class Cisco network switches and routers · Layer 2 and 3 switching including STP, ARP, 802.1q VLANs, VTP, HSRP · Routing EIGRP, BGP, OSPF area architectures, Radius, Tacacs+ and SNMP · Rredistribution of routing protocols and Static routes. · Firewall and remote access solutions including Access-lists, NAT, SSL and IPSEC VPNs · Load balancing solutions, particularly Netscaler · Familiarity with Linux and Windows OS Fundamentals. · Working knowledge of monitoring and management infrastructures. · Understand of Domain Name Service (DNS) and Access Control Lists (ACL’s). · Extensive knowledge of VLANs, QOS, EIGRP, Firewalls, IDS, IPSEC and SSL VPNs, MPLS in a provider environment. · Experience with Cisco VOIP · Advanced knowledge of routers, PIX Firewalls, Cisco switches, and VPN Concentrators IPSec Tunnels, stateful failover · Cisco 2600, 2800, 3800, 7200 series routers, BGP, EIGRP, route redistribution · Cisco 6500 series L2/3 switching, dual sup/MSFC, · Cisco Multilayer Director Switches · Cisco VPN, Site-to-Site and tunnels, Client-toSite VPN · Cisco ACS, TACACS, RSA Tokens.
