I really appreciate if you can review my below requirement and present your suitable consultant ASAP *Application Support Specialist* *Location: Chicago, IL* *Duration: 3+ months* *Rate: Will give your best* * * *Note:* *The manager is looking for someone who at a minimum has supported software applications in a messaging environment and has solid experience in navigating Unix and strong shell scripting and SQL skills. *** *Job Description: * · This senior level consulting position will provide day to day support of Clearing applications and test environments in a support role primarily with Linux/UNIX skill set. · The candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years hands-on experience in direct support or development of UNIX applications, administration, or infrastructure. · Candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills. · The ability to communicate well across multiple departments is required to facilitate problem resolution and escalation of environment issues. · Qualified candidates must be a quick learner and self sufficient with the ability to ask questions and for help when needed. · Working experience with MQ, Sonic MQ or JMS is a strong plus. The ability to create, modify, start and stop queues and channels is strongly preferred. Weblogic and Tomcat background a plus. · This candidate will have worked in a fast paced dynamic and sometimes stressful environment which requires excellent customer service and prioritization skills. · Candidate should have experience developing/modifying scripts using scripting languages such as Korn and Perl. Perl scripting would be a plus. · Ability to navigate and generate SQL queries using standard tools. · A general working knowledge of ClearCase , ClearQuest, Bladelogic, and UC4 is desirable. · Flexibility in working hours may be required to meet project deadlines. This may include later or earlier starting/ending times. *The duties for this candidate are as follows:* 1. Support development/QA Clearing systems configurations along with designers and programmers. 2. Support existing development/QA platforms and interfaces with users to determine where improvements or enhancements are needed to better serve their needs. 3. Work with development and QA team to further enhance the deployment and support process. 4. Interface with departments and assist with modifications required to support enterprise-wide system changes. 5. Facilitate QA life-cycle testing of Clearing applications, or support systems releases and work with development teams to assess the scope of potential environment problems. 6. Monitor system utilization and recommend environmental enhancements or modifications as needed, weighing current and future needs as demand dictates. 7. Create and maintain technical documents/charts on all Clearing application distributed and mainframe deployments, configurations and support. 8. Lead testing environment problem resolution or identify process improvement efforts. Troubleshoot and resolve environment related issues assigned from defect tracking system. 9. Provide technical advice to management as new technologies emerge and evolve. 10. Skills: Weblogic and tomcat a plus 11.
