The candidate will be using a propritary conversion tool and supplementing
the conversion with query and prompting work.
The assesment, Design and creation of a set of models and packages from
multiple databases in support of the effort is a crucial. Component.
Ability to investigate problems in the conversion tool and work with the
development team is needed and significant software development experience
is needed Required Skills (Technology, Years of Experience)
1. Advanced Cognos Report Construction – 3 Years
2. Cognos Modeling – 2 years
3. Actuate reporting – 2years
*Desired Skills
*1. Knowledge of low-level software development (this is more of a utility
than an application)
2. Comfortable in an R&D environment
3. Comfortable with an uncertain development environment
*Job Duties - Deliverables*
1. Convert report layouts from Actuate to Cognos and then fill in (in
Cognos) the query and other report requirements from an Actuate
2. QA report conversions in a side-by side basis
3. Provide constant feedback to the conversion utility team for utility
improvement
