Job Title : Front End Java Developer
Location : Arlington, VA
Duration : 6+ months
Java front-end developer (80% front end with some back end development skills)
Summary of Qualifications:
Front-end web developer with strong experience using (X)HTML and CSS,
JavaScript/DHTML, Photoshop and Flash to create and maintain flexible and
cross-browser compliant layout. Proven ability to manage projects, meet
deadlines and work alone or in team setting.
Technical · Development
a.. Expert in HTML, XHTML, CSS 1-3, XML, JSP, Struts/Tiles
b.. Experience with JavaScript, DHTML, Ajax, PHP o Beginner-level experience
with Java development and troubleshooting using JBuilder and Eclipse.
c.. Familiar with HomeSite, Eclipse (Aptana), Vi, TextPad and Notepad++ o
Familiar with Microsoft IIS, JBoss, Apache Tomcat, Weblogic, Sun Webserver,
XML/Tag language-based content management systems
d.. Familiar with SQL, CVS (Tortoise), Subversion, Twiki
e.. Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop 7 through CS3
f.. Familiar with Adobe Illustrator, Flash and Fireworks
g.. Expert in Microsoft Windows Vista, XP, 2000 and CE (Pocket PC/Windows
Mobile)
h.. Familiar with UNIX bash shell, Mac OSX, and Linux KDE/Gnome
i.. Expert in Microsoft Office (including 2007),OpenOffice, StarOffice,
Visio, PDF development
Strong experience with:
a.. tableless css - developing / debugging for multiple browsers (FF1.5,
FF2.0, IE 6, IE 7, Safari)
b.. writing javascript and ajax from scratch
c.. jsp / jstl
d.. xsl / xslt
Additionally they need:
· Excellent communication skills - they need to be able to clearly
communicate with the business, design and back-end people
· GUI design experience
