Position: WebMethods Developers
Location: MA
Duration: 4-6 Months
Job Requirement:
a.. Work on large development project that involves migrating/on boarding our
customers using generic framework services.
b.. Work with business partners and our customers to integrate them into our
systems.
c.. Good technical and analytical skill and ability to take initiatives.
d.. Provide technical leadership - assess requirements, create design
artifacts, develop modules, conduct technical design reviews and code reviews,
identify and resolve key technical issues within the product/project
e.. Build new best practices and new standards and ensure compliance
technically and from a process standpoint before implementing
f.. Participate in the analysis of emerging technologies as necessary to
ensure that Staples solutions stay current with the existing technology.
g.. Develop in-depth knowledge of Contract Systems and business processes and
system environment.
h.. Mentor junior developers in software engineering techniques
i.. Work on multiple priorities at the same time and manage the work/time
effectively.
j.. Work with PMO, development, QM and infrastructure teams in creation and
execution of plans, and assist in end-to-end implementation integration,
testing and support as needed
k.. Support internal and external customers by providing technical
consultation
l.. Adapt quickly to change and positively take on new responsibilities - be
viewed as a technical lead by others
Qualifications:
a.. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
Master's is a plus.
b.. 5-8 years hands-on and in-depth experience required in the following:
a.. webMethods, EDI, XML, Java, SQL, DB2/Oracle, Unix Scripting.
c.. 1-2 years of Gentran on Unix experience using AI mapping tool.
d.. 3-5 years direct experience in technical leadership as well as hands-on
role in a large-scale B2B Integration implementation, preferably in a
webMethods environment
e.. Experience designing and implementing applications using a SOA approach
is preferred.
f.. Must exude a positive, can-do attitude.
g.. Ability to multitask and prioritize issues under pressure
h.. Manage and Improve process, contribute to process improvements
i.. Ability to analyze problems and present technical solutions
j.. Able to take technical lead role on development and support initiatives
k.. Sound communication skills (with internal team members and external
business partners)
l.. Ability to influence without having direct authority.
m.. Good project management and organizational skills (Understanding of SDLC
processes).
n.. Broad understanding of one or more of the following:
a.. networking concepts, communication protocols, Performance Analysis,
Database Management
b.. operating systems: Windows 2000/2003, Unix, AS400
c.. database technologies: SQL, DB2, Oracle
