Description SAN Job description: Qualifications include: -This position requires strong communication skills, great organizational agility, and technical writing skills. -Candidates must function well in a team environment. -Candidates need to be organized with a proven ability to make the correct decisions under pressure. -Critical thinking and problem solving skills are required. -Candidates must be able to troubleshoot & ability to analyze complex problems quickly is a MUST for this position. -We are targeting skill sets that include strong experience with virtualization utilizing R2 Hyper-V along with strong Share Area Network (SAN) expertise. -Candidates must be well rounded Systems Engineers with solid Infra, OS, and networking experience. Requirements: -2+ years of hands on SAN (Fibre Channel and iSCSI) administration and operational support with familiarity of specific product (EMC, NetApp and/or Hitachi preferred) tools and industry standards. -Must understand the RAID types, disk layouts, connectivity designs and SAN services (replication, security, etc.) thoroughly. -Experience with multi-switch fabrics and disaster recovery scenarios preferred. -Candidate must have experience with Virtual Server and R2 Hyper-V as well as managing and provisioning Virtual Machines (preferably with experience in PowerShell integration). -5+ years experience supporting Windows 2003 and/or 2008 Server, SQL Server 2005-2008, and Internet Information Server (IIS6-7), in a large scale operations/production environment. -Extensive knowledge of client server architecture. -Advanced ability to analyze, design and architect IT systems -3-5 years experience with T-SQL, SQL Query Analyzer, & SQL Profiler and networking (Cisco, F5 BigIP, Radius, TCP/IP protocols, architecture and principles). Candidate should have working knowledge of scripting languages (VBS, ADSI, Perl, PowerShell, etc.). -Experience with programming disciplines (C, C++, Win32, ASP, HTML) is a plus. -Candidates should also be experienced with the software development life cycle (SDLC), Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR), possess a strong working knowledge of System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), transactional monitoring, process and task automation, testing processes, build process, configuration management, release management, and server deployments. -The position requires participation in a 24x7 On-Call rotation. -Should have a BA/BS degree in CS, related discipline or equivalent work experience, MCSE, CCNA preferred.
