Job Title          : Sr. Network Architect (  CCIE Certified )

Location          : NJ

Duration           : 6 months   

MUST have a current CCIE (CISCO CERTIFIED INTERNET EXPERT). 

The Network Administrator's role is to ensure as part of the Network services 
team, the stable operation of the global network infrastructure. This includes 
planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and 
optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The person 
will also analyze and resolve network related corporate hardware and software  
problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where 
required

Responsibilities:
1.      Manage security solutions, including firewall, URL filtering, and 
intrusion detection systems. 
2.      Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, 
firewalls, wireless infrastructure devices, and network load balancers.

3.      Ensure network connectivity between hosts within and between different 
site locations 
4.      Network design and engineering as well as capacity planning 
5.      Conduct research on network technologies, products, services, 
protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development 
efforts.

6.      Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network 
component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications 
information.

7.      Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance 
statistics and reports. 
8.      Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and 
repairs. 
9.  Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003 Network Infrastructure 
including DHCP, DNS, WINS, etc. 
10. Through knowledge of networking configuration and TCP/IP stack settings on 
Microsoft Windows 2003 and Linux to establish configuration stand responding to 
problem tickets for issues reported by first level support or other IT 
departments.

11, Writing formal postmortems for production problems and providing feedback 
to other architecture and development teams

12.  Follow standard operating procedures while maintaining validated servers 
and hardware. 
13. Oversee the maintenance / monitoring of systems within environment to 
ensure optimal performance, to determine system upgrade/replacement schedules, 
and to meet established Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments.

14. Operate network management and monitoring tools to identify and assist in 
resolving potential security, reliability, and capacity and performance issues.

15. Provide timely status updates to direct manager and IT management 

Skills/Knowledge Required: 
 
"       7+ years experience in a corporate, world-wide multi-site, 100+ sites 
environment with 3+ years in a network architect position

"       Architect and deployment of geographically dispersed networks on all 
continents 
"       MPLS-BGP enterprise network design and operation experience a must. 
"       Experience with ISA 2004 servers. 
"       Site-to-site (DMVPN) and remote access VPN solutions (IPSec and SSL) 
"       Cisco ASA and VPN Concentrator Experience. 
"       Deployment of centralized network authentication, authorization and 
accounting systems 
"       Experience with VLAN and PVLAN design, 802.1x, EAP-TLS 
"       PVST+, MST, 802.1ad, and other layer 2 controls 
"       Advanced work with layer 3-7 controls such as firewalls and application 
proxies, and services such as DNS, DHCP, SNMP

"       Layer 3 routing/control/HA mechanisms (OSPF, BGP, HSRP, GLBP) 
"       Knowledge of FCoE, FCoIP or iSCSI 
"       Experience troubleshooting and optimizing network application flows 
such as VoIP, file transfer, email, etc. 
"       Experience implementing LAN and WAN QoS (on MPLS and point-to-point 
links) 
"       Strong interpersonal and organizational skills 
"       Change control (device updates and patch mgmt., reconfigure. etc.) 
"       Multi-vendor experience (Cisco, Dell, IBM, etc.) 
"       Strong ability to work in a multi locations and multi time-zones team

 Education/Experience:

"       Candidates must have a BS or BA in Computer Science, Information 
Systems, Telecommunications or equivalent experience.

"       Current valid Cisco CCIE certification required (written+lab exams with 
valid re-certification every 2 years) 
"       Linux RedHat or Microsoft OS certifications is a plus 
"       Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and 
standards  
"       Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience. 
"       Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Knowledge of 
EU data privacy and laws related to networks is a plus. 

"       Strong written and oral communication skills. 
"       Strong interpersonal skills. 
"       Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as 
required. 
"       Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. 
"       Highly self motivated and directed. 
"       Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
"       Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure 
environment. 
"       Strong customer service orientation. 
"       Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 
"       Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as routers, 
computers and peripherals. 
"       Experience with working in validated environment, standard network 
change management, access control mechanisms and configuration policies in 
pharmaceutical environment.

"       On-call support on some nights and weekends and carrying a cell phone 
are required.  Occasional late-night maintenance, alone at the corporate 
facilities, is required.

"       Organizational "Fit" Considerations: The candidate must be flexible to 
take on different tasks at short notice and have the ability to function in 
cross-functional team setup that consists of different disciplines. Prospective 
candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
