JOB DESCRIPTION:* * Location: NYC, NY Duration: 6 Months + Interview : Phone Screen and F2F* *Preferred : Financial Background and Locals or Regional* *Technical:* - Solid understanding of Oracle 10/11g RAC from a Development perspective - Solid understanding of Data Warehouse and Data Mart concepts with proven experience in both. - Expertise in SQL and PL SQL - Strong Oracle performance tuning experience preferably in the data warehouse space - Strong Data modeling background with emphasis on Physical modeling - Star schema - physical architecture (partitioning, cluster) - working with large databases - multi terabytes (3+ Terabytes) - Unix skills - Data Modeling skills using standard tools: ER/Studio, ERWin, Enterprise Architect - Interpretation and understanding of functional specifications - Writing technical design documents, adhering to firm standards - Experience with source code control tools such as Perforce or ClearCase *Other Skills:* - Knowledge of financial products - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Strong inter-personal skills and ability to communicate effectively with the team - Ability to work in a global team environment - Hard working and results oriented *Additional Skills:* - Any BI (Business Intelligence) / OLAP exp is a plus - Java is a plus - MQ / Tibco EMS messaging experience is a plus -- Praveen Kumar Technical Recruiter NPD GLOBAL INC...
