*Job Title: Web Services Test Engineer II* *Location: Kennet Square PA* *Duration: 6 Months* *Note: * *We need an EAD, GC and Citizen for this....*** *Python scripting is a must have* *RESTful web services are MUST.* * * * * *Web Services Test Engineer II* The responsibilities include coordinating with the Techology team members (Engineering and QA) to identify module and scenario requirements, authoring and maintaining test cases, and analyzing cases for automation and performance opportunities. Responsibilities will also include executing module and scenario cases as part of the development and testing lifecycles. Initial responsibilities will revolve around building the Web Services infrastructure and identifying and adopting test tools. *RESPONSIBILITIES: (May perform any or all of the following duties, not in priority order)* • Participate in early planning meetings of new projects as the web services representative. • Identify new opportunities for web services in upcoming projects and provide feedback to projects on dependencies. • Design, and develop scripts and tooling solutions to meet testing requirements. • Evaluate and integrate third party testing tools and components. • Propose, assemble, configure, and maintain testing infrastructure. • Understand the underlying business objectives to improve testing approaches and tooling. • Execute database queries as necessary to verify data integrity during test execution. • Document all aspects of web services including design and approach documents. • Interface with other depts. and within the industry to standardize and streamline web service offerings. • Provide internal support to the test team. Consult to test team on “best practices” and process changes to facilitate web service validation. • Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance. *EDUCATION:* BS in Computer Science / Engineering, or equivalent work experience. *EXPERIENCE and BACKGROUND (Required):* • At least 5 years of professional experience in development and/or testing. • At least 2 years experience in web services *development and/or tool customization.* • Experience working on test teams delivering medium to large-scale distributed applications into production, and an excellent understanding of the issues involved. • Creative, self-motivated team player willing to take the lead to identify opportunities and offer solutions for process improvement. • Clear and effective verbal and written communications skills. • Strong interpersonal skills; capable of writing recommendations, and interacting with company personnel on complex topics; make presentations to an internal audience and interacting positively with senior management. • Knowledge of industry standard methodologies, tools and processes for software development such as Visual Studio and Eclipse. • Mastery with web service architectures such as *IBM Websphere, ApacheAxis *• Mastery with relational databases such as *Oracle, mySQL, or MSSQL Server.* • Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as *VB, C/C++ and Java.* • Experience in creating, executing and debugging testware.
