Title: Java Technical Lead
Location: NYC
Duration: 6 Months +
Start date: Immediate
*Note:** The client will have an online test for the short listed candidates

*Desired Skills / Knowledge:*
* *
- 7-10 years of development experience.
- Excellent knowledge of object oriented languages (Java) and design
patterns.
- Working knowledge of messaging systems (TIBCO Rendezvous, Message
Queues (MQ)), C#, Rich Client Platform (RCP).
- Solid knowledge of Swing.
- Solid knowledge of XML parsing, DTD and schema.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and database persistence mechanisms (Hibernate,
JDBC).
- Production support experience.
*Job Description:*
- Develop software components and systems based on technically sound
design that comply with acceptable standards.
- Work closely with QA to ensure that solutions are of high quality; e.g.
accurately implement the specifications and are thoroughly tested.
- Implement assigned tasks with minimal direction and proactively
identify and resolve unassigned issues.
- Liaise with the author of requirements documents and functional
specifications to clarify ambiguities.
- Provide ongoing support and support maintenance activities.
- Exhibit or acquire appropriate business knowledge to provide adequate
context to development tasks
- Ability to expand business requirements for iGATE IT team (focus on
doing FTR (First-Time Right)
