Minimum Requirements:
Required:
• 6+ years multi-tier IT development experience as a Java/J2EE developer.
• Experience with multi-tiered J2EE/PLSQL large-scale applications
leveraging Design Patterns, JSP’s, Servlets concepts as well as open source
frameworks such as MVC, Struts, Spring, AOP and Tiles.
• Advanced knowledge of programming language(s), software development IDE
tools (Eclipse and TOAD/SQL Developer), source control environment(s), like
SVN.
• Strong understanding of OOA/OOP, web-based technology, and experience with
BEA WebLogic Server.
• Candidates must be proficient with standard JAVA (POJO) development tools,
including ANT, log4J, JUnit, JavaDoc and popular IDE’s such as Eclipse Plus
or NetBeans.
• Programming and design capabilities with XML and XSLT.
• Unix and shell programming experience.
• Systems analysis and functional design experience is required, along with
a thorough knowledge of database concepts and relational databases.
• Experience in system architecture, design principles and system
development methodologies.

Responsibilities:
• Design, develop and implement new multi-tiered application functionality
for Web and Web Services based financial applications.
• Maintain existing Java code while adhering to appropriate coding
standards, software development methodologies and process flows.
• Work in collaborative team environment with Developers, Business Analysts,
Data Analysts and Product Managers to ensure successful implementations of
new services.
• Investigate and resolve internal QA tickets and periodically external
production tickets.
• Review and sign-off on technical high level designs, lead detailed designs
and software implementation, participate in design reviews and code reviews,
ensure unit testing and integration testing, facilitate code delivery to
multiple environments, analyze tickets, and resolve operational issues.
• Work with QA and provide support and timely technical resolutions for
defects.
• Setup, tune, and integrate development and test environment tools and
software as needed.
• Adhere to established coding standards and adopt to the software
development methodologies in compliance with the established SDLC process
flow.

Desired:
• Financial Services industry knowledge.
• Experience with Web Services design (SOAP, XML, RPC), implementation and
use in a commercial environment.
• Knowledge of Single Sign-on technology.
