Position: Siebel Developer
Location: Atlanta GA
Duration: 6 months
Job Requirement:
Responsibilities:
a.. Implement business processes using the Siebel eCommunications software
package
b.. Maintain Siebel application by fixing system defects and solving
production support issues
c.. Assist third party system integrators in configuring and implementing
packages
d.. Participate in testing of configured software packages
e.. Provide design considerations and functional impacts when assessing OSS
release requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Required
a.. Product Configurator developing experience
b.. Promotions and Pricing experience
c.. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
d.. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
e.. Self starter who can work effectively independently as well as in cross
functional team environments
f.. Advanced Siebel Tools configuration, including creating/modifying
Business Components, Applets, Views, Links, Joins, Pick Lists, Pick Applets,
MVG's (Shuttle Applets), and User Properties
g.. Advanced scripting, including checking for required fields, setting field
values, querying business components, invoking Business Service methods, and
thorough knowledge of the Siebel Object Interfaces (specifically Business
Services and PropertySets)
h.. Ability to write Browser Script (Javascript) to perform advanced
validations and complex processing, including invoking Business Service methods
i.. Advanced knowledge of Oracle and SQL and the ability to query base Siebel
tables to view data (including joins of multiple tables)
j.. Ability to perform advanced Siebel debugging and troubleshooting
techniques, including the Siebel Tools debugger, SQL spooling, and event
logging
k.. Ability to create efficient Business Services that encapsulate business
logic and process validations
l.. Advanced knowledge of Siebel integration technology, including Workflow
and Integration Objects
Desired
a.. At least 4 years experience with Siebel Tools configuration and scripting
b.. At least 2 years experience with a structured programming language
(Visual Basic, C, C++, JAVA, etc.)
c.. Good knowledge of Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL
d.. Telecommunications industry knowledge and experience
e.. Technical undergraduate degree and/or graduate degree
