Position: Network Systems Engineer
Location: Akron, OH
Duration: 11 months
Job Requirement:
a.. CCIE (Cisco Certified Internet Expert)
b.. Preferred Juniper
c.. Preferred Firewall
d.. Preferred Cisco
e.. Required Network Administrator
f.. Required Network Engineer
g.. Preferred Design, engineer and document complex network infrastructures
for new projects.
h.. Help coordinate the kick start of implementation projects surrounding
above mentioned infrastructures.
i.. Serve as SME on all matters network related, providing advice to the
Manager of Network Services.
j.. Proactively make recommendations for improvement to existing network
infrastructures.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
a.. A very thorough understanding of communication networks including; TCP/IP
and it's low level mechanics, IPsec, complex routing including OSPF, BGP and
the potential interoperation thereof; layer 2 technologies such as Ethernet,
Spanning-Tree and RSTP; firewalling and stateful inspection; packet capture and
analysis; DNS, load balancing, RADIUS, SNMP, ATM, MPLS, DWDM, SONET and RPR.
b.. Strong familiarity with Cisco IOS and all platforms related to above
mentioned technologies.
c.. Cisco 650x, 750x and ONS 15454.
d.. A technical understanding of multi-tier application architectures and
performance issues.
e.. Very strong ability to aggregate all mentioned skills to design
troubleshoot or critique complex network infrastructures.
f.. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical
journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
g.. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers,
regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
h.. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to
prescribed style and format.
i.. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public
groups, and/or boards of directors.
j.. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid
conclusions.
k.. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in
mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete
variables.
