Position: Database Architect
Location: Chicago IL
Duration: 12 Months
Database Architect - Face 2 face will be done after a Telephonic
Job Requirement:
a.. Provides design recommendations based on long-term IT organization
strategy.
b.. Develops enterprise level application and custom integration solutions
including major enhancements and interfaces, functions and features.
c.. Uses a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to
customers.
d.. Provides expertise regarding the integration of applications across the
business.
e.. Determines specifications, then plans, designs, and develops the most
complex and business critical software solutions, utilizing appropriate
software engineering processes, either individually or in concert with project
team.
f.. Will assist in the most difficult support problems.
g.. Break down business problems and capabilities into projects, platforms,
frameworks, applications, and services that when realized, produce software
that solves business problems and/or creates new business capabilities
Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and possible
application to the business.
h.. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business
Administration or equivalent work experience in similar work environment.
i.. Typically has minimum of 15 years of IT work experience including
application system design and implementation.
j.. Experience integrating the components of the technology platform
including Data warehouse, DataStage (ETL), DB2, MQ, J2EE, WebSphere, Oracle,
SQL, Tivoli job schedular and Cognos.
k.. In-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art programming languages and object
oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing and debugging programs
