*Duration: *6 months contract *Start Date:* ASAP * * The key information for our positions on the application team is "Experience with Star 12 microprocessor, C, automotive vehicle busses (CAN), and automotive diagnostics is preferred." A good embedded SW engineer with experience in automotive, defense, telecommunications, etc. would be a good fit. Connectivity software department provides telematics and entertainment services within the vehicle. The department is responsible for feature development, testing, and maintenance of embedded software in vehicle radio systems for multiple projects/customers. Department scope includes analysis, design, coding, testing, and integration of software features, and all software integration, validation, and certification activities to achieve shipment for US based radio products. Primary responsibilities include requirement analysis, design, coding, and unit testing of features of embedded software, and interface with multiple software teams to drive resolution of software issues. - Completes project goals and monitors status while being aware of overall program goals. - Coordinates development and support for assigned projects. - May direct the work of other engineers. - Performs engineering related studies, processes, designs, inspections and/or quality audits. - Gathers, records and maintains engineering specific information. - Prepares charts, graphs and diagrams to illustrate various engineering procedures. - Performs testing and troubleshooting in a variety of engineering tasks. - Specification development or preparation. - Experience with Star 12 microprocessor, C, automotive vehicle busses (CAN), and automotive diagnostics is preferred. Position requires working with international teams in different time zones.
