Title- Build Engineer/Configuration manager Location: Vienna, VA Length: 6 months * EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: * * Required* - Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. - 7 – 10 years of overall information technology experience, of which 3 – 5 years of that experience is with enterprise\web applications and application hosting and or production support - SDLC experience within an Agile or SCRUM environment - Understand the .NET Platform to troubleshoot issues related to Deployment, Unit Testing and Performance Testing - Understand the SQL Server Database platform for supporting multiple product lines and environments - Experience with deployment of applications on a variety of platforms primarily including the Microsoft Windows Platforms - Experience supporting development , test, and production environments - Experience as a Build Engineer / Configuration Manager in high volume Windows Smart Client and Web Application (IIS) environments - Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) source code management system, and in the preparation of builds using ANT - Strong knowledge of Software Configuration Management (SCM) and Change Management Database (CMDB) is required. - Strong level of understanding and ability to interpret and deploy information systems and architectures, high-level systems specifications, project plans, structured systems designs and Quality Assurance metrics - Strong interpersonal, business, organizational, and project coordination skills - Independent decision maker capable of operating within specified boundaries - Strong technical skills from both a development and operations perspective - Strong understanding of software production support processes and environments - Ability to understand third party integrations and incorporate support for them in the Build Processes. - Ability to manage system issues and bugs using standard software issue management systems such as Parature, PVCS, Test Director/Quality Center. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Comfortable working in a fast paced, technical environment - Ability to understand a technical discussion and turn around and relay the same information to non-technical groups *Preferred* - Experience with Implementing and Maintaining a Continuous Build Environment for Code Development. - 3 – 5 years of the candidate’s overall experience related to managing one or more technical projects across multiple departments - Experience in Creating and Maintaining Microsoft TFS based projects - Ability to use Microsoft TFS to implement Agile/SCRUM Projects - Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server - Microsoft certified .NET Programmer/Developer/Architect. - Solid background as member of a leadership team focused on the development of complex technical systems Thanks/Regards, Sam, || IT-SCIENT || Phone: 510.972.5255 || Fax: 877.701.4872 || Email: [email protected] || Web: www.itscient.com ||
