Job Title: Java Developers - Securities Lending! Location: Charlotte, NC or New York, NY Position Type: Contract Duration: 3 Months plus Rate: $60/hr C2C Job Description: We are looking Java Developers having good experience with Capital Markets. Need someone who has strong experience with Securities Lending & preferably who have worked with OTIS. The successful candidate will be responsible for design and development of the Application Based on Java, J2EE, SQL, and Sybase with Capital Markets clients. The candidate is expected to have a strong understanding of core Java, object-oriented analysis and design, web services, Service Oriented Architecture. Roles and Responsibilities: Highly skilled team member will leverage enterprise development skills within a self-directed and self-organizing team to deliver high quality, robust technical solutions on applications supporting up to several hundred users. Must be able to communicate with and mentor less knowledgeable (but capable), local or remote team members and assist in developing their skills to benefit the wider team. * Developing and designing the Applications using Java, J2EE, SQL, and Sybase with Capital Markets clients. * Function will be to rewriting their interfaces to OTIS, Breakout GL, and Segregate GL. * Hands-on development of solutions using Java with a test driven approach. * Providing technical documentation. * Determining and executing suitable system testing strategy. * Planning and coordinating packaging and deployment of applications by appropriate teams. Required skills and experience: * Minimum 4-6 years Java/J2EE development * Experience with OTIS is desirable * Java - design and develop APIs using web services. * Should have experience with Sybase Database * Good understanding of object relational mapping tools such as Hibernate. * Web Service - design and develop web service in Java. * Artifact Configuration Management tools. * Packaging and Managing release process for entitlements. * Good understanding of design patterns.
