*Job Title: SQL Server DBA* *Location: Cherry Hill, New Jersey * *Duration: 6 Months * *Rate: Open for the right Candidate * * * *Required: * *Only Citizens, GC’S, and EAD with at least 5-7 Years of Experience!!!* *Toad and Sql Server Management Studio / Enterprise Manager Experience are Must. * * * *Responsibilities:* - Monitor and troubleshoot all production, development, and test databases. - Perform service restoration in event of issue including working with vendors to ensure timely response to problems. - Serve as point of contact to internal and external customers through problem resolution - Perform ongoing database and application performance tuning activities. - Provide off-hours support as required to perform job functions and ensure service delivery - Plan, design, and develop databases including schema and table layouts, underlying disk configuration, backup process, high availability and all other configurations. - Understand customer requirements and define initial and ongoing capacity needs. - Develop and test Remain current on emerging technologies and possible application - Create and manage linked servers in a heterogeneous environment. - Perform ongoing upgrades and patches as required - Develop, review, and support SQL code, stored procedures, Open Query statements, triggers, etc. - Perform production review of in house written code and assist developers in optimization and troubleshooting - Perform production code elevations following change management procedures - Understanding of security impacts of actions and adherence to company guidelines - Assist in development and modification of security guidelines - Act as advisor to internal and external customers on security issues *Job Related & Physical Requirements:* - Effective team member on concurrent tasks/projects. - Attention to service excellence and detail. - Excellent troubleshooting skills. - Strong interpersonal skills – ability to communicate with all levels of customers, vendors, and IT resources - Develop and maintain network documentation - Technology: SQL 2000/2005/2008 SQL Server in a Microsoft Windows Clustering.
