Establish standard operating procedures for administering PostgreSQL databases. 2. Implement industry standards & best-practices. 3. Performance Tune and Benchmark PostgreSQL databases. 4. Backup & Recover PostgreSQL databases. 5. Provide on-call 24x7 support for production PostgreSQL databases. 6. Mentor fellow DBA’s in PostgreSQL DBA techniques. *JOB SPECIFICATIONS:* 1. Undergraduate degree, 8 yrs. relevant work experience or equivalent combination education and relevant work experience. 2. 5 yrs. DBA experience 3. 5 yrs. working knowledge of PostgreSQL, EnterpriseDB distribution preferred but not mandatory. 4. 1 yr. working knowledge of Oracle 10g/11g 5. In-depth database development skills. 6. Exceptional ability to identify and resolve database related issues. 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 8.
