Response Time: Immediate Requirement: Title: Data Architect Position: 2 Duration: 6+ months Location: Northbrook, IL Interview: Immediate Description: - Review project/application data requirements to come up with data architectural options and recommendations. Data Architecture includes: where new data should be added, where existing data should be sourced from, replication if needed, resiliency implementations, performance consideration, handling historical needs, handling reporting requirements. - Production of the Info Arch related ADM deliverables. - Consultation on all matters related to data (including access, security, etc.) - Data Governance (DAG) review and approval. - Developing, Refining based on input, obtaining alignment, and Socializing Data strategies - Developing improved procedures and outputs Specific Role: Provide subject matter expertise on Kimball and Inmon style data warehouse architecture Recommend architecture for a particular problem (data sourcing, data integration and data presentation) keeping the architecture guiding principles in mind Assist in data requirements gathering Work with other areas of solution and integration architecture to promote the right decision Work with ETL developers to ensure the right data integration patterns are being implemented Work with Data Management group to ensure metadata is appropriately defined, captured and presented Work with Data Management group to ensure data quality as per program/project SLA Work with Information Architects, BI Architects to ensure the right technology is promoted for various projects within the data warehouse Work with Data Management group and provide guidance on data models Preferred Skills: Data Modeling (Star Schema and Normalized) Insurance or Financial background, ETL tools such as Ab-Initio, Informatica BO tools such as SAP-BO, Microsoft SSAS Thanks & Regards Acer Mc Entellects Corp.
