Position: Java Developer
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 6 months
Job Requirement:
a.. You should have a strong interest in and experience with information
retrieval or machine learning systems.
b.. You must have strong experience writing and maintaining multi-threaded
code and web-scale systems.
c.. Familiarity with various commercial and open source search and text
processing tools is helpful.
Expected Background:
a.. Advanced degree in computer science, engineering or related area (MS or
higher preferred)
b.. 5+ years of relevant professional experience in software development
using JAVA.
c.. 2+ years of experience working with Agile/Scrum and XP methodologies.
d.. You must have strong experience writing and maintaining multi-threaded
code
e.. Demonstrable knowledge of TDD, unit testing, mocking, etc. is a plus
f.. Experience with search technologies such as Apache Lucene is highly
desired
g.. Strong Performance analysis experience and use of profiling tools like
dynaTrace or JProfiler
h.. Experience working with other linguistic technologies is a plus
i.. Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal
j.. Must have strong knowledge of object-oriented design, analysis and
programming
k.. Proficiency with SQL is helpful
l.. Python and Perl are a plus
