 *Position: Business Analyst with SharePoint*
*Location: Rahway, NJ*
*Length: 6 Months*

*Primary Responsibility:*
Interact with business stakeholders from various departments, to gain an
in-depth understanding of specific department levelbusiness case for portal
functionality and championing it through Product Management, PMO and
Solution Development Teams.

This would include the following:
- Developing an in-depth understanding of business objectives of associated
departments, portal goals, and enterprise strategies.
- Developing an understanding of the alignment between enterprise
strategies, departmental operating objectives and portal goals.
- Developing requirement needs of the associated departments by
understanding business operational processes, understanding existing system
shortfalls in enabling departments to achieve objectives and holding regular
discussions to document functional requirements.
- Should be an experienced power user of Sharepoint and have the ability to
surface technology limitations that could transform into impediments,
constraints. Also, leverage knowledge of technology to document functional
and non-functional assumptions that would not typically be elaborated via
functional requirements.
- Confirming business buy-in by communicating the business requirements and
justification to approving stakeholders, conducting requirement
walkthroughs, active participation in prioritization discussions, developing
user stories and use cases.
- Working closely with the solution development and quality assurance teams
to conduct solution assessments, validation of requirement implementation
and surface any miss-outs via gap analysis.

*Supporting Responsibilities:*
- Have a strong knowledge of process methodologies like CMMi and Six Sigma
that will assist in implementing a process centric approach to business
 analysis.
- Experienced in the use of current visual modeling tools to model existing
business processes, obtain functional decomposition, elicit core
capabilities and the impact of suggested enhancements to the businesses
value proposition.
- Ability to setup focus groups and joint application development sessions
to elicit, analyze and verify requirements.
- Should be well versed in managing traceability of requirements from
conception to implementation and product release.
- Have a consistent and relevant communication strategy across business
 stakeholders.

Whiteboarding, standard Software Lifecycle document templates
