Job Description
? Primary responsibility for the functional management of the data
warehouse activities, including systems analysis and design, requirements
gathering, logical and physical design and implementation.
? Responsibilities also include project management, documentation,
user training, data conversion participation in technical architecture and
process reengineering.
? Perform complex data acquisition, transformation, mapping, mining,
and generation of simple and complex queries to support business reporting
and analyses needs.
? Establishes controls for safeguarding internal data in conformance
to company policies
? Manage and review the work of other data and information services
specialists.
? Manage the relationship and coordination with the data providers,
Application Development and implementation teams, Data Base Administrators,
and data center staff.
Qualifications
? 10+ years of technical, operational, and functional experience
with large global data warehouses, mainly within financial firms, using
Oracle / People Soft Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence tools and
methods.
? Demonstrated success in relationship management with technical
staff.
? Superior analytical and quantitative skills.
? Advanced SQL and technical skills, training and certification in
Oracle / People Soft required, SQL Server Data Warehousing experience is a
plus.
? Well-developed influencing skills and strong interpersonal and
communication skills as well as ability to communicate at all levels
? Leadership and ability to manage others, some in a matrix
relationship
? Self-motivated, ability to work both independently and as part of
a team.
? Advanced PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
