Position: WebSphere Commerce Architect
Location: NYC
Duration: 6 Months
Job Requirement:
a.. The Applications Development team is responsible for the coding and
integration of the various applications running on the diverse web site.
b.. The team works closely with the Project Management Office on approved
scheduled projects and is generally responsible for:
c.. eCommerce application development employing J2EE and Microsoft standards
d.. Integrating vendor packages
e.. Database modeling and scripting
f.. System documentation
g.. Production defect repair and enhancements
h.. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i.. Work as technical lead, architect, hands-on developer, and contributing
team member.
j.. Evaluate business and technical requirements in order to write and
implement technical specifications related to the company's web initiatives.
k.. Work with other members of the Applications Development team to implement
technical specifications.
l.. Partner with functional groups both internal to Scholastic Technology
Service Group (e.g., project management, network operations) and external
vendors in order to provide tightly integrated solutions
