Websphere portal at TX FOR 3+ MONTHS
Skills required :
· Install/coordinate installation and *configure Websphere Portal v5
and v6 on UNIX Platforms, upgrades, patches and fixes as required by project
deadlines*.
· Build *out WebSphere Portal Golden Topology with Oracle as its
backend database and WAS v6 and v7 as the WebSphere Portal base*.
· Assist project teams with design of *WebSphere Portal solutions to
meet business requirements*.
· Assist in development and implementation of application
roll-outs and upgrades where *WebSphere Portal is affected*.
· Assist developers and application support staff in testing and
troubleshooting application code that uses *WebSphere Portal.*
· Participate in *24x7 on-call rotation*.
· *Follow IBM recommended Best Practices for WebSphere Portal
installs and be able to document changes and procedures as needed for the
building out WebSphere Portal environments from Development to Production.*
Other Special Requirements: Must be willing to participate in
24x7 on-call pager rotation.
Required Skills:
· *Installation, configuration and administration of WebSphere
Portal on a UNIX operating system platform; experience with version 5.1 *
· Experience with *WebSphere v5, v6.*
· Administration and configuration of *WebSphere Portal with Oracle
as its backend Database*.
· Documentation of *WebSphere Portal architectures and
installations.*
