Handles and leads the most complex or critical data/ database management initiatives that typically involve multiple disciplines and multiple business groups, including responsibility for database architecture, design, integration, and/or data modeling. As the recognized technical expert, consults extensively with multiple client groups to provide strategic solutions, influencing long-range internal and enterprise-level data/ database architecture and management strategies. Serves as a consultant on technological advancements. Provides oversight, mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff. We are looking for highly skilled senior Oracle DataBase Administrator (DBA) with at least 5 years of design, installation, and support experience with Real Application Clusters (RAC) databases on Solris and Linux platforms. This is a very specialized and senior level DBA position and RAC expertise is a must. Candidates without RAC experience will not be considered for this position. Essential qualifications are: - At least 10 years of Oracle production database administration experience, preferably with financial institutions, Bank. - At least 5 years of experience with design/install/maintenance/support of Oracle RAC/ASM (Oracle 11g RAC experience preferred) - Experience with TAF, various load balancing techniques (client side as well as server side) available in RAC environments. - Experience with trouble shooting RAC performance issues related to interconnect, ASM - Experience/knowledge of storage administration - Experience with applying patches to RAC environment - Experience with design/install/troubleshoot of data replication tools such as Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle Streams - Experience with design/install/troubleshoot of RMAN backups/restores in a RAC environment (preferably using shadow copy or BCV techniques) - Experience with adding/deleting nodes in a RAC environment - Experience with converting non-ASM (VERITAS) databases to ASM/RAC databases - Experience with BIP-IP F5 LTM - Experience with trouble shooting RAC database issues using OEM Grid Control - Experience with creating shell/Perl based scripting to manage/monitor RAC components Platform and Skill Set Expertise: Database Development : Oracle, Database Administration : Oracle, Systems Administration : UNIX, Systems Administration : Shell Scripting, Systems Administration : Linux Comments: This is an Oracle Data Base Administrator role and our client WILL NOT consider candidates unless that have experience with Real Application Clusters (RAC) databases on Solaris and Linux platforms. -- Regards Shiny Vijayan Amtex Systems Inc.
