Understand the current technical and business environment · Working with the Technical Architects and Business Analysts to produce effective migration strategies · Executing agreed migration strategies (e.g. modifying scripts and code, installing applications on new servers, executing test plans, reconfiguring batch processes) · Development of support documentation for hand-over to the production support teams · Establishing strong relationships with business users and IT teams · Designing new strategic platforms and improvements to existing platforms. · Building best practice change management infrastructure – test environments, automated testing, continuous integration We are seeking an individual who: · Is a true technologist with the ability to translate complex technology innovation into clear business value over the medium and long term. · Understands the best practice development principles a. Design Patterns b. Source Code Management c. Documentation and Comments d. Release Management e. Unit Testing f. Performance and Scalability g. Continuous Integration & the developer sandbox · Understands enterprise integration technologies – with view on the pros and cons of each technology.
