The company's Let's Note CF-Y5, due to hit stores in Japan on May 19, features a waterproof sheet and special drainage system that protects the hard drive and circuit board from light water damage, according to the Associated Press. That's light water damage, mind you--as in a spilled glass of water, not a dousing by the garden hose. The CF-Y5 can withstand a force equivalent to a maximum of 220 pounds, offering extra protection in packed commuter trains, the Osaka, Japan-based electronics maker said. The product will cost around $2,300. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ TELECOM-CITIES Current searchable archives (Feb. 1, 2006 to present) at http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Old searchble archives at http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
